Dear Mayor Johnson,
This letter is to inform you of the status of the Samaritan House affordable housing project,
Contract # M97-SG3001-17 and amendment M97-SG3001-17A, funded in part by the Montana
Department of Commerce (Commerce) HOME program. The original grant award was for
$400,000, and $400,000 was expended.
Our records indicate as of June 30, 2019 the twenty-year HOME period of affordability for your
project is complete, successfully completing its commitment for the HOME program and the
required period of affordability. This letter serves as the Final Period of Affordability Closeout
notification.
As the grant recipient, the City of Kalispell serves as the repository of all HOME -related records
and files for this project and must retain project records and files for five years from the date of
this Final Period of Affordability Closeout, which is June 30, 2019.
We would like to thank you for your commitment to providing affordable housing in Montana.
