KGPA-19-01 — Growth Policy Amendment Public Hearing
May 6, 2019
BACKGROUND: The Kalispell City Council, at their meeting on April 1, 2019, approved
Resolution 5914. Resolution 5914 set a public hearing date of April 15, 2019, in accordance with 7-
15-4214 and 7-15-4215, M.C.A. At the public hearing, Council took public comment on the proposed
amendment, which would amendment the Kalispell Growth Policy Future Land Use Map on 5.79-
acres from "Urban Residential" to "Urban Mixed Use." The first publication date was inadvertently
missed, so during the April 15, 2019, the public hearing was opened and continued to May, 6, 2019,
to accommodate public hearing noticing requirements.
At the subsequent Council meeting on May 20, 2019, the council can take action on the proposed
growth policy amendment, as well as the zone change application request coinciding with this
proj ect.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Kalispell City Council hold a public hearing
and take public comment on the proposed growth policy amendment, KGPA-19-01.
FISCAL EFFECTS: There are no anticipated fiscal impacts at this time.
ALTERNATIVES: Deny the request.
