RESOLUTION NO. 4618
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN
THE 2000-2001 BUDGET ADOPTED BY THE CITY CO*NCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE.
WHEREAS, in the budget adopted by the City of Kalispell for the
2001 fiscal year, certain detailed and itemized estimates
of expenditures for street light maintenance have proven
inaccurate in the operation of the said Light Maintenance
Fund for the 2001 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the overall expenditures of the said Fund are currently
not in excess of the total of such estimates of
expenditures adopted in the City's budget for the 2001
fiscal year, however, it does appear that the total of the
budgeted appropriations in said classification will exceed
such estimate for the balance of the 2001 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, reserves available under Light Maintenance Fund
classification will have cash not appropriated and said
excess may be utilized, so that- the respective budget
appropriations are not exceeded by expenditures, and
WHEREAS, said reserves are revenue accruing to the City not
appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-4271, and constitutes
an overall increase in appropriation authority, and
WHEREAS, the appropriate fund would be a Light Maintenance Fund,
5210, with the appropriate expenditure line item 2400-410-
430263-341.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That on June 18, 2001 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in
the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, the
City Council will hold a public hearing on
appropriating funds from Light Maintenance Fund
in the amount of $7000.00 for the increase in
electrical costs.
SECTION II. That notice of the passage of this resolution
shall be published pursuant to Section 7-1-
4127, MCA.
