A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND THE KALISPELL AIRPORT USERS GROUP AUTHORIZING
ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES IN THE MASTER PLAN FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, on December 4, 2017 the Kalispell City Council passed Resolution No. 5848 approving
the form of a lease between the City of Kalispell and the Kalispell Airport User's
Association; and
WHEREAS, the above -described lease contained a Master Plan for Capital Improvements to which the
City Council agreed that the City, as owner of the property, would participate with funds
from the South Kalispell Tax Increment Financing District for certain enumerated eligible
projects; and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell Airport User's Association has obtained bids for the approved projects and
have determined that the total cost of the projects will exceed the cost estimates of the
City's commitment and the Airport User's Association commitment by the sum of $54,254;
and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell Airport User's Association desires that the City consider adjusting its
commitment to reflect the actual eligible costs of the projects rather than the earlier
projected costs.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Kalispell City Council hereby approves of the expenditure of funds for
Kalispell City Airport capital improvements from the South Kalispell Tax
Increment Financing District to pay for the additional eligible costs in excess of
those projected costs associated with the approved projects set forth on the Master
Plan for Capital Improvements incorporated in the Lease Agreement between the
City of Kalispell and the Kalispell Airport User's Association dated December 4,
2017, in an amount not to exceed $54,254.
