AUUroyal of Minutes: Janet moved to approve the June 12 minutes; Bill seconded. Approved 6-0

New Business:
Signs: None
Building Permit: Treeline Retail Center — 635 Treeline Rd — new retail building — Bill moved to
approve; David seconded. Approved 6-0.
My Place — 755 Treeline Rd— new hotel — Russ moved to approve; Dave
seconded. Denied 4-2. Motion did not carry. Board feels the building looks too
blocky and color scheme is too dark as presented in renderings. After looking at
photos of recent MY Place hotels, specifically Bend, Oregon, the board feels the
renderings do not accurately represent the project. Bill moved to approve and
Janet seconded with the understanding that the project was not accurately
portrayed in the renderings and the design shown in the photos from the Bend,
OR project would be followed. Approved 6-0.
Other Discussion: Sterling School— 135 Glenwood —new private school; preliminary discussion —
Mark Johnson, architect presented renderings, board is overall pleased with
design. Mork Norley would like to see the 2 small windows in the front of the
building made taller to blend with the taller windows throughout. Site work
could be either parking lot or landscaping (irrigated lawn), but could not be left
unimproved.
