The Council meeting was called to order by acting Chairman. Keith Robinson. Chairman Scott
Richardson was not in attendance. The .Airport Manager stated that Gib Bissell had submitted
his resignation from the Council in a letter to the City Manager.
Airport Managers Update:
The A'irp
ort Manager introduced Katherine Thompson, Executive Assistant that works for the
City Manager, Community Development Director, and occasionally for the Airport Manager.
Discussion on winter snow removal procedures.
Discussion on DNRC not meeting its contractual obligation and hangar site lease termination.
Two 60' X 60' hangar site leases are available.
Discussion on a proposal presented to the Airport Manager for a 9 hangar/office condominium
project proposed for space along Airport Rd.
Discussion on legal case with Diamond Aire in the City Court and the Montana Supreme
Court.
Discussion on the selection of possible sites for the relocation of the KGEZ towers.
New ALP should be ready for review in a couple of weeks. Council will have a chance to look
at the draft before it goes on to the FAA for review.
City is waiting for the return of a proposal for land acquisition for the expansion project.
Old City dump site will be Phase Iv of the expansion project. Part of that project is the
purchase of the Fireplace Store on 93 South to be used as an entrance to the landfill area.
Discussion on the development of a Safety Committee for the .Airport. Dave Koerner has
agreed to head up the committee once we have enough members to get it going. Tip Clary has
also agreed to serve on the committee.
